Assessments

We develop and test industry-specific, organization-specific or even plant-specific metrics and analyses to optimize your supply chain — or your next acquisition.

Atema conducts two types of assessments to assist you in the development of your quality management system. Atema will provide your company with a review of the methods and functions in place. We will then compare it to your quality manual and procedures along with industry compliance codes and standards. The resulting report will identify any discrepancies in your system. Although the documentation may be compliant, you will discover if the methods are completely implemented and understood by all who have the responsibility to execute them.

Gap Analysis

Choose a gap analysis if you have just completed your quality management system documentation and have not yet accomplished full implementation or staff training. A gap analysis determines if there are major omissions in your documentation or if requirements are not addressed in your system. Generally, samples are limited to one procedure. Two specific types of GAP analysis can be: ″ Documentation: Evaluate the existence of the required procedures, actions and components. Documentation submission typically includes the quality manual and referenced procedures that address the certification requirements. ″ Onsite Visit: all critical questions of certification requirements are covered to determine if the issues have been addressed.

The gap analysis report will:

  • Demonstrate if procedures have been identified and documented.
  • Show you whether records have been identified and referenced.
  • Document the results of the critical questions for evaluation.
  • Fully determine the levels of implementation and how effective it has been.

Pre-assessment

Choose a pre-assessment if you believe your system is implemented and your staff is trained -- you are ready to verify that you are compliant with the requirements or standard.

A pre-assessment determines if compliance is present. It is a complete, formal assessment of the system to the standard or requirements. There is a formal opening and closing meeting with results delivered in a final verbal report. This presentation includes commendations, concerns and items requiring corrective action. It typically does not include a formal corrective action follow up which happens during an official registration assessment. However, a follow-up can be part of the scope if desired, though registration or certification is not incorporated.

The pre-assessment report will:

  • Deliver assessment on the existence and the implementation of the required elements.
  • Highlight current effectiveness in meeting requirements of the applicable standard.
  • Assist in documenting corrective actions.
